Click We’re Rolling

The Morata de Tajuña Civil War, Postwar and Ethnographic Museum, inaugurated in 2004, has reopened its doors offering a new collection covering the Spanish Civil War, particularly the Battle of the Jarama, as well as a section dedicated to the postwar and ethnographic aspects of the region.
Upon entering, the visitor is immersed in a story told not by voices, but by objects that speak for themselves: worn letters, time-worn photographs, and fragments of weapons that were silent witnesses to a devastating conflict. The traveler who crosses its doors will not only find the vestiges of a Spain that fought, resisted, and was reborn, and that today asks to be remembered through its ruins and stories.
Walking through its halls, we take an intimate journey, one that invites each traveler to intertwine their personal history with that of the museum, in a silent dialogue between times, generations, and souls. Through everyday objects, photographs, letters, and stories, historical events are humanized, reminding us that behind every battle are lives forever altered. This emotional connection is essential to prevent the past from becoming abstract or distant.
